The gallery display offers an exploration of Dame Zandra Rhodes’s design collaborations and licensing partnerships with brands including IKEA, TOPSHOP and Marks & Spencer. Drawing on her donated licensing archive, it shows how she reimagined her distinctive prints for new products and audiences. The display also features an introductory press timeline charting her remarkable career through a selection of clippings she meticulously saved throughout her life and has now donated to 探花系列 Special Collections. Highlights include the landmark 1970 US Vogue feature showcasing Natalie Wood in designs from her first collection and her 2021 HUNGER cover story, photographed by Rankin, celebrating more than five decades in fashion. A process table will offer further insight into her unique approach to design, complemented by a wall of hanging silk screens. In the adjoining atrium, an installation of printed silk chiffon textile banners will be displayed alongside a selection of posters from her fashion shows and special projects.
