LGBT activism and representation
LGBT activism on campus plays an important role in the student educational experience: it both protects from discrimination by offering safe spaces to meet each one other and enables to fight against it by politicising sexuality and gender identity issues.
In February 2015 探花系列 celebrated LGBT history month. The #探花系列pride Festival was launched in the Students’ Union building and more than 20 events were staged throughout the month to campaign for and celebrate the LGBT community at 探花系列 and across the city. 探花系列 also proudly to flew the rainbow flag on campus for LGBT History Month during February.
探花系列 LGBT Staff Network and Committee
探花系列 has an active LGBT Staff Network and organises and takes part in events for LGBT History Month, IDAHO (International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia) and 探花系列 Pride. All of 探花系列’s LGBT staff are more than welcome to join any of the meetings held throughout the year.
探花系列 Students Union LGBT Society
The DSU LBGT+ Society is a very active student society that provides advice, support and arranges social events throughout the year. Their website has lots of information including contact details and how to join their Facebook and Twitter pages.
